If you can get it to work and keep a decent consistency with this much, then you'll be pretty sweet for anything much larger.Annabel Longbeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05788836605485149996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-154052654150802009.post-20841235191505042962011-06-07T21:30:21.993-07:002011-06-07T21:30:21.993-07:00I'm not sure sorry - it's quite easy to fi...I'm not sure sorry - it's quite easy to find non-dairy alternatives in places like the USA but not so much in NZ, especially for the quantity required here. You could try a mixture of whipped silken tofu and soy milk - in general this sort of tofu is quite a good substitution for smaller quantities in recipes. You could also try using softened non dairy ice cream like the So Good or Lite Licks ranges. I've been told that a mixture of rice or soy milk and light oil in a 2:1 blend makes a good heavy cream substitute but it won't whip or thicken much further; otherwise you could try the recipe here: http://nzdairy.webs.com/veganrecipes.htm. I'd also recommend going to a whole foods place like Piko in Chch to see if they have any ideas, or even having a scout around in an Asian supermarket like Kosco - always filled with wonderful surprises!Annabel Longbeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05788836605485149996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-154052654150802009.post-68005595641280447272011-06-07T21:05:27.912-07:002011-06-07T21:05:27.912-07:00SOOOOOO much better than the crazy-thin one in the...SOOOOOO much better than the crazy-thin one in the Edmonds Cookbook! Put into a serving dish, sprinkle with sea salt and plenty of grated Parmesan (the best quality you can find - admittedly hard in NZ but try and find the real thing)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-154052654150802009.post-1200579463743073842011-04-14T22:50:05.818-07:002011-04-14T22:50:05.818-07:00When I was maybe 15 I tried to make a pollo mole f...When I was maybe 15 I tried to make a pollo mole from a Mexican cookbook we had.
